The answer is yes you could, although you may well have been the only one crossing the road.Back in those days, I imagine the clientele of the Black Lion wouldn't have been seen dead in Bibi's. And the same would have been said in reverse for the patrons of Bibi's, only more so.It would have been akin to the lads and lasses in the Market Tavern - affectionately known as the Madhouse - debunking and taking a quick stroll up to the Jumbo for wonton soup, crispy duck, seaweed and yeong chow fried rice.
