Hi, I was just reading these forums as I'm in the mood for somewhere local to go for a gander, when i stumbled upon this.http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... ghLight=1I was reminded of a Christmas present my Dad got my Grandma, Now usually its a book on Gardening or something else just as unappealing to a 18 year old Metalhead. But this time I wanted it for myself, It was a framed image of an Old Chip shop, I asked my dad what it was and he explained it to me. Now its 1:55am so i can't ask my dad the details as he is up for work at 4. But I have a rough memory of what he told me. The Chip shop was run by my relatives Great Grand Parents back in't day, my Dad is convinced that the person in the Pram on the left of the image is my Uncle John. I'll ask my Dad about it when I can.... I handed it to my Grandma one Christmas and she was a little confused by it, after looking at it for a while and rubbing her jaw with intrigue my dad explained to her that it was the Chip shop her Parents Owned. All the Pre and Post war Memories came flooding back to her and she stared at it for Ages. I thought it was a pretty cool present....here it is.http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... _37174624I Signed up to the forum to post this, I hope in my Tired/ Excited Yorkshire Tea state I've got it Right. Thanks for Reading,Jim

I saw the photo and thought I know that. I remember it nowI used to live about a mile away in Armley and used to walkto Asda past that shop having walked down and over the hill nearSt Bartholomews. I remember seeing a guy who I fancied at thetime working outside the shop as he was an electrician. So thanks for the memory. p.s. Never saw him again after that time laugh. Oh well!!
