This link is to a closer view of the Sussex Street side in Google Earth http://goo.gl/maps/FzQTJ. The building has a look as if it could have been a pub, or possibly a cinema, at one time. I would appreciate it if someone could say what it was.

It was a bank, Midland I think.I used to go in The Prospect regular, and that guy commenting on Leodis is right, Lay Lady Lay was always on the jukebox - well, that and Wichita Lineman. Much later, there used to be a DJ pair on a weekend night. One of them was, I think, called Hugh but was nicknamed Huge, because he was. It was rumoured that he was the partner of Emmerdale's Frederick Pyne [Matt Skilbeck] at the time but I don't know how true that was.

I see that back in 1715 the view was termed to be "from Knostrop Rd"
