The following is from John Mayhall’s 'Annals of Yorkshire':-September 6 1768. “On the 6th of September, the king of Denmark passed through Leeds with a splendid retinue, and after visiting the Cloth Hall, was sumptuously entertained by the corporation”.It was on September 6th in 1858 that Queen Victoria started a two day visit to Leeds, during which she inaugurated the Town Hall.

Yes it's hard to imagine a Viking (oops, Dane) ever being a vegetarian! It would also have been best to be sure to keep the King happy in case he started to organise a Viking ravaging and pillaging campaign again. PS. I thought it would be interesting to look up about Vikings and Leeds but I clearly need to improve my searching as I got loads of links to Leeds Rhinos v Widnes Vikings or similar links!

I assume Google links to the nearest "Clarendon Road" to it's userI opened the link and here's the screen print of where HMQ stayed.I would be interested to know, are the Clarendon Roads you got nearest to your (the user) location?Google are notorious for data gathering.------------------------------Edit Test1. Clarendon Road Bournemouth http://goo.gl/maps/RA8ez2. Clarendon Road High Wycombe http://goo.gl/maps/bh8zR3. Clarendon Rd Leeds http://goo.gl/maps/oeD64[These all work correctly for me, in Leeds]Please test and let me know what happens.

The three "Edit Test" take me to where they should. However, when trying the original again I was taken to Bournemouth.

How strange The orig takes me to Leeds Cl Rd. In fact I'm going there now.The others all work.I was not trying to suggest that HM Queen Victoria opened Leeds Town Hall. Then (cue Benny Hill theme tune) high-tailed it to Bournmouth for an overnight.
