The old Leeds logo was phased out from March 1968 with thedelivery of a front-entrance AEC Swift single-deck bus to the Leeds fleet . The blue livery ( officially light grey/drab blue ! ) lasted until June 1950 when a livery of Mid-Bunswick Green and Chrome Green was introduced . In 1952 this was amended to Mid-Brunswick Green ( covering the bulk of the body above the base of the lower-deck windows ) , a light green band ( Lincoln Green ) above the lower-deck windows with the panels below the lower-deck windows painted Dark Brunswick Green . The difference between the two Brunswick Green shades could really only be seen when the bus was newly-painted . This information is taken from Volume 4 of " Leeds Transport " by J. Soper .

Remembered a story Grandad told me. When he saw anyone running for the bus as he was approaching the bus stop, he used to drive a few feet past the stop to make them think he hadn't seen them. Then he'd watch them run, slow down and run again when he did stop. Well he found it funny. Actually, I do tooMiserable sods (can we say that?) now would send in complaints wouldn't they

On e-bay until 7 October you will find a destination blind from a Leeds tram for sale . The current bid is £31.00 but it will go much higher . I attach the relevent e-bay advertisement .
