Following his second gold medal by winning the 5000 metres event I wonder if Mo Farah will get a second gold post box?I hope that gold post boxes will still be painted for Team GB gold medalists at the coming Paralympic Games.

There was a discussion on this subject on TV this morning but it was mainly about the stamps really. Unfortunately something cropped up and I don't know what the outcome was.

Sorry it was the absence of the word 'stamp' that confused me. I thought your post referred to painting pillar boxes.

No it was clear what I said about Royal mail using the games for opportunistic profiteering with stamps e.t.c.You might be a supporter of the Olympics Cardi, in so being it's to be expected you would take a dim view of anyone having anything negative to say about the Olympics. But we are all entitled to our own opinion. It is however best not to reply to someone in a patronising manner if you don't agree with them, the term withering is one you'd make towards some confused old dear, and I'm far away from being a dotty old dear thanks very much! I agree with you, Phill, re Royal Mail and how it's run but as an ex stamp collector (shhh!) and post office worker, I do like the commemorative stamps. I'm sorry to say there isn't much in life where profit doesn't come first but I believe it's always been that way.Nothing will change.

I'm an ex employer of theirs too, which probably explains my view on them lol
