He used to drive a clapped out old car, possibly a Volvo. I remember he had this big statue of Laurel and Hardy in his garden, they were full size figures. He had a few other eccentric things dotted about the garden. They looked good and I really liked them. It's funny because I saw a photo on flickr a few months back of a second hand shop in Leeds with a statue of Laurel & Hardy stood outside. I'm just wondering if they were the same ones? There can't be many of those to be found in Leeds. I'll see if I can find the photo. Found it The Trash & Treasure shop Meanwood.

It was in this garden here with the bungalow tucked away round the back, although I can't see his garden oddities on this view. http://binged.it/P3GEXhThe time I'm talking about is going back to around 2005.

Thanks for the pics Jogon, I know the location of number one photo straight away. The second one will take a bit more working out, it looks so different changing from fields to an estate.

There is a building marked on maps there, sadly it's not marked as anything on any dated maps going back to 1908.
