Here's the L.C.T logo on the old blue livery we used to have. Don't know if i'm keen on it. Anyone know when it was phased out?

Guessing here Phil. I don't remember that livery (I was born in 64). West Yorkshire as a county was born in 74 which is presumably about the time WYPTE came into existence. WYPTE was/is also known as Metro an I do remember metro busses in the green and white/cream livery so did that replace the blue when I was about 10?

Thanks there Tyke boy. No the Green & cream replaced the darker (Was it Brunswick green & Lighter green) in 1974 when the W.Y.P.T.E was formed as you say I'll dig out the correct shade when i can! The blue livery was before that one! Think i've see a pic in the 50's with the blue colour scheme!

Just found a pic with the dark green livery with the blue next to it on 492. The paint works a bit faded but it's a good comparison shot!

The only thing I have to do with the old busses of Leeds is the black canvas roll of street names.. Aquired many years ago from a backloader bus that was due for, as the borg would say, assimilation!! It was handy living next to the bus depot at Bramley..
