I drove past the former shop this evening and conversion to a dwelling is almost ready for it to be let, so another piece of local flavour disappears.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Course, I could be wrong? Also, they forgot to mention the Kirkstall Abbey tunnel in the cellar. Kerching!!

Looking at the photos and judging by the way the shop windows and door have just been bricked up I'm not sure the actual shop area is part of the house (yet)?

The size of the rooms shown in the pics are only small and one of the rooms like part of the attic. "I'm out"

In the side wall of the former shop a new door and window have been constructed, so this is possibly a staircase to the upper flat ??
