The Newlands was burnt down in a riot in the mid 90's. I think you're right, Hill Top Road looking down to Hartwell Road. http://goo.gl/maps/oySo

Definitely Hill Top Road. You can place the photo almost precisely from the position of the lamp post and the grating just next to it. What confused me was thinking the building on the left was the back of All Hallows Church but that was quite a bit bigger:I was going to wonder why the church was torn down but according to http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ...
