Where have all the nurses gone????.

The thing is, it's only once you become part of the system that you really do witness how bad the nhs is. Going to the doctor and walking away with a prescription does not really give you any idea just how bad the nhs as a whole is.You and I shall have to eat more greens, pump ourselves with Cod Liver Oil and PRAY!!Keep healthy somme1916

Having used the NHS for IVF ( which we had to pay for as we were both over 35) and for cancer treatment, we have no complaints. The treatment and speed of action was brilliant.Otley Minor Injuries was always quicker as somone has already mentioned.The proposed cuts have not yet taken place in full so the NHS is pretty much in the same position it was under new Labour.Over the weekend, most of the A & E capacity seems to be alcohol related and who relaxed opening hours to turn us into a "cafe" society.New communism inherited an economy in perfectly good condition. They then proceeded to do what they always have done and spend away.Gormless Gordon raided the pension schemesAfter the last lot in 1979, we were in the same position Greece is in. The IMF refused to lend us any more money.

Am I on my own in thinking this thread has become too political? I think there are plenty of other outlets in which to express one's political views. I thought SL was above all this.

You are not the only one Johnny39 to think that. In so far as it is possible to do so I think peoples poltical views should be kept off SL. Allowing it to go on will only encourage people to post more politically motivated messages and threads, to the detriment of SL.

In and amongst a report in I thinkthe Sunday Express last week - a hospital in Derbypaid an agency something like £1200 to cover a SINGLE12 hour shift in A&E - Madness.
