A friend told me about the"Britain from above"website by English Heritage. It's a collection of around 95,000 ariel photos. It's searchable and on searching Yeadon there was a photo showing the house my daughter has just bought and surrounding area as it was in 1928. Hope it's of interest and hasn't been mentioned before. Sorry don't know how to do a link (bit of a thicko!)

I registered with them, (which enables you to zoom in/out on the pics and join groups etc).Unfortunately there are very few pics of areas I know but Kirkstall Abbey and nearby housing is interesting to see and where I am living now. Infact, I never realised that where I now live, (Poole, Dorset), was such a "dump" in the 1920's!!!
