I couldn't get my gig list to attach, as it was the wrong type of document, so, after considerable editing, I have managed to reproduce it below in a fairly readable form. I hope it brings back memories for some of you. Sorry about the dates, I only made a note of the 'bigger' gigs for some reason.01/09/77    The Adverts            Leeds Polytechnic15/10/77    The Stranglers    Drones    Saints    Queen's Hall Leeds11/12/77    Boomtown Rats    Yachts        Leeds University25/02/78    Eddie & theHot Rods    Radio Stars                                                     Squeeze                     Leeds University18/03/78    The Buzzcocks    Gang of Four                                                     The Slits                     Leeds University - Sorry about the formatting above; it didn't actually come out the same as it looked on the preview!

No problem Bruno, for info, the site only allows you to 'attach' jpeg files, best way with anything else is probably to copy from say, a word document and paste into the message box, as you've probably realised - and I've no intention of tidying up all that lot either - fine as it is

Bruno, your musical taste is impeccable. What a great selection of bands. In my opinion the years 1977 to 1983 were the imperial years of British music. Creatively, this period has never been surpassed. Today we are force fed a tedious tsunami of vanilla, boiled in the bag safe "popstars" by that smug culture terrorist Cowell. I honestly do not know what the hell i'd listen to if i were 15 today.

Ey up bruno, great list, nice to see Hotfoot Gayle get a mention, Washing Machine Boogie anyone?. they were a great r&r band. I myself have been in several Leeds bands, not famous but did many gigs in working mens clubs all over Yorks and east lancs, Jukebox Drive formed with ex guitarist from Hotfoot Gayle, Ticket to Ride (5 bus drivers in this one!) Beest on the Hill ( played punk and first band i helped form in 76-77and High Voltage to put names to them.
The longer we live the older we get

The bands around that time that didn't make it to the big time were far better than the tosh around today. SneakersThe GimmicksDodgy Tatics Those were the bands
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad
