Nash's Fish Restaurant and the street with no name

I think it is a 'false' stairs up only entrance on Merrion St (ie nothing on that ground floor). Unsure whether it is take away chip shop only on street wino name or whether you can go up?Must visit soon

No doubt they are currently in the lower down former private boys' school NOW, but with the quote from Leodis, plus their own website describing a 'Tudor style' building they moved into in 1963 - that's what makes me think they were originally in the top building on <street with no name>

The mock tudor building is the one they are in, it just so happens that the other one next to it is also a mock tudor building. As other have said, the Merrion Street entrance is just that, and entrance and you can see the setps go up from inside one of the shops fromting onto merrion street. All it is is a 6ft space with a staricase leading over the shops to the upstairs restaurant.The back is the takeaway entrance, but also does have access to the restaurant and the front (Merrion Street) is JUST restaurant access.If you cut away the building I think it would be like an inverted L shape - see attached, it's really poor as a drawing but shoudl give you an idea of a cross section......It seems in the case Leodis has it wrong on the website which is mnot uncommon given they have over 50,000 images on there. They cant all be right can they especially as some of the pghotos are years old!
