Leodian wrote: I'm unsure if it is one of the 'Things you don't see anymore' but I never see mention of paying for things COD (Cash On Delivery), with the possible exception of paying mail order catalogue agents (are there such as Kays, Littlewoods etc home run catalogue agents now?). If COD has died then perhaps having to pre-pay by credit/debit cards for purchases is the cause. I tried a seach of SL for COD but only seemed to find mentions of the fish! Yes, Leodian, catalogues and agents are still going but it seems the 10% you used to make on orders is no longer around (not for new agents anyway). You do receive a little cashback now on goods but it has to be used against something which you purchase in the catalogue. Gone are the days of cashback by means of a cheque. Crafty devils!!Cash On Delivery would (I suppose) mean that too much cash has to be carted around. I often wonder how long it will be before bus/taxi driver's ask for card payments ? You do hear of the odd assault on these driver's. Sad times we live in really.

The test card (with and without the girl) and (probably my favourite) the London to Brighton train run in 4 minutes! Great nostalgia. I'm forgetting of course that there are interludes now but they are filled with 'What's coming soon' or even 'What's on next' clips.
