That closed down long long ago and was a bingo hall for a long time. It is currently undergoing some renovation work to be used for various things. It seems to be called the Majestyk nowadays but I still know it as the Majestic. The Sound of Music film was held there for what seemed like years! Was it a cinema in the 60's, Leodian? Edit...just realised that, yes, course it was if the Sound of Music was shown there. Think that's where I must've seen the film with my mam but I was only about 7 or 8. Later she'd go to the bingo there. I think it used to be big money if you won.

My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!

In recent years it was a night club. I remember going to see the sound of music in the 60s when it was a cinema.
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad

In information I've just found it states for the Majestic "The Sound of Music – 18th April 1965 to 30th Sept 1967 (128 weeks)". It seemed longer!
