Instinct is quite usually to go for a cheaper option where their is a choice in anything purchased. The less we make the higher the cost, the less we earn - well established and recognised phenomenan and cause of the decmise of many firms in Leeds as well as elsewhere.

Sad for me to read this, I worked at East Leeds Leisure Centre for some time, it seems the structure & fabric of the local community is being slowly eroded away, the sports and leisure centers in and around Leeds have been a thriving hub of social activity for many years.

Yes, shut these kids and people here in east Leeds have lost a vital link Mothering law was there every week. Then Stuck in here house on coronation parade not knowing what else to do could not go far.Now she has died I hate LCC and not the only one, we pay our council tax to cover this thing.

Leeds is a big City with plenty of resources, income from domestic rates and business rates must be massive. I'd also like to know what reserves have been collected by various administrations over the years and not spent on Leeds. To let these municiple services go in times of austerity and depression is ridiculous. Pull out some reserves LCC, you know the money you collect for hard times. Spend some of the money the people have supplied you with?
