Yes the shop is Butcher Hill post office, its amazing how quickly they put these tv shows out as they only filmed it a couple of months ago, for a few weeks in a row the shop was closed every sunday for filming, I only live round the corner but I didnt see them filming it. However I heard one of the characters in the programme saying that the shop was in Meanwood...? Also a comment one of the characters said they didnt want to be relocated to the shop in Holbeck as it was a bit out of order- Holbeck may or may not be nice for the residents of the place to hear this been said on national television! The series was written by Kay Mellor who writes a lot of this drivel for the TV, she also wrote 'Fat Friends' which was also filmed around Butcher Hill area, the fish and chip shop in that show was actually the Midgeley's on Butcher Hill. I know Kay Mellor lives only a mile or so away near the Hollies as a friend of mine who works as a gardener at the Hollies also mows her lawn for a bit of extra cash. I've heard she is going to write a show about him, something along the lines of 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'...! Heh heh heh!

I find her stuff pretty dire.

When my mam was in hospital some time ago she said the woman in the bed next to her was Rollem's mam? I'd like to know if it was Kay Mellor's mam. Would've thought they'd be BUPA....

I saw the last episode of The Syndicate, and there was a night-time scene shot next to the Corn Exchange.
