I was more surprised to see a Kay Mellor scripted show that doesn't feature her actress daughter Gaynor Faye (aka Judy Mallett) in a leading role.... That made me giggle. This also reminds me I ought to find At Home With The Braithwaites on DVD.Has that series from around the nineties been mentioned which revolved around a family in Headingley? I know that's not much to go on, but details escape me.     Being Leeds born n bred and living down south I try watch anything and everything re Leeds but the Headingley series beats me? As for G. Faye...talk about " Keep it in the family"....

I may be misremembering At Home With The Braithwaites, but I think this was before that and just about a normal family where the son was in a heavy metal band. I remember somethi g about his gran getting confused when he was playing a gig and thought it was a jig so invited her friends.

There has been a lot of filming over the past three months at the former Leeds Girls' High School on Headingley Lane for the next series of Monroe. It has made for interesting viewing from the top deck of the bus on the way home from work when stuck in rush hour traffic! I've never seen the programme but it's set in a hospital and the LGHS site has been used for filming since 2010.Wikipedia gives the details:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroe_(TV ... )Apologies: the link doesn't show properly - you will need to copy and paste the full text of the link into your internet browser.

Really bugs me when you feel you should know something..grrr I have noticed Otley and Farsley Town St in Emmerdale and recently (on channel 4 I think?) there was a series re an ambulance crew set in Leeds. I wish Leeds were used more re television as I love to see the old place. It always seems to be Manchester these days.

If nobody else remembers it I'm probably imagining it.I'll be thinking about it for days but you can put it down to me confusing Braithwaites with something else set in the North.

Could it be Married,Single, Other? But this was much more recent than At Home With The Braithwaites.
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad
