buffaloskinner wrote: That building was the Royal Exchange and was demolished during the 60s. Cheers again buffaloskinner. I recall the Royal Exchange but I didn't recall its spire-like structure with the clock.PS. I can't make out what is on the poster at the Majestic. Assuming it was for a film I wonder what was being shown?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kerryp28/6918288825/]Leeds City by Kerry Parker on FlickrIt's interesting to see just how bland the back of the Queens Hotel is compared to the front here. This 1995 shot is now history, This is the old Wellington Street station area only used for parcels since 1967. No railway stands on this spot today, the car park has taken it's place.

Oh the good old Leeds P.C.D. - my stamping ground for quite a while when I was a shunter based at leeds. I have a lot of piccys taken down there during the transformation from Triple grey liverys into the R.E.S. period, including several de-railments and some "access all areas" photo's taken the day the incoming plymouth overnight mail had a head on meeting with a departing 156 unit on the west junction.I really need to get a scanner and open a flickr account
