The only pub I know of that name was the Coburg Tavern which was on the junction of Woodhouse Lane and Claypit Lanehttp://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?resourceIde ... SPLAY=FULL

Hi Yorkshirerose,There are quite a few photographs of the Cobourg on Leodis. It has also been mentioned on Secret Leeds before, particularly relating to jazz, and Ed O'Donnell and his jazz band, who used to play there regularly. If you use the search facility, on this site, then you will find the threads. It is also mentioned in this one:http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... dID=890Ian

Hi Ian, We have met before, remember Dennis Peace photo and the Yorkshire Post site? Thanks for the link for the Coburg. I guess that is the same pub I was asking about. We have a place here in WA called Hutt River Province and the owner seceded from WA and it is now a tourist place. The artist whose name I have forgotten, opened a Hutt River Embassy in the pub many years ago. I think there was a photo and article in the Yorkshire Evening Post. Maureen

Try this threadhttp://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messages.aspx ... =3333EDITI find the easiest way of searching for a thread is on Google with quotation marks around"lord nelson" "secret leeds" in this case.
