It's this section of pavement that's not adding up right with the 1970's film clip. The film clip clearly shows the pavement here is much wider and extends out into the road making the road narrower around this area. The kerb stones don't look to have been relaid in a long time to me, plus why should it have such a wide pavement here?

Hello everyone, just about to go out, gonna call at the Junky and try and replicate the photo. I'm sure it's Moor Road junction, the street furniture on the left edge definitely match up if the nearest post is traffic lights. One other thing about the Metrobus, at this time all the buses down here except the 86 were crewed, and it was my experience that the 6000 series were nearly always used on o.p.o. routes, the poor crews, myself included, invariably had the old 300's and 500's if you were out of Miggy garage at least. I'm sure the other depots also used the older buses on the crew routes. If this was a number 20 the crew were very lucky that day.

MANY THANKS PHIL FOR POSTING THESE,I'M IN YOUR DEBT.Kango.

On the original clip Billy at the bottom of the frame the curve of the double yellows is just visible , to replicate that You need to stand in the middle of Moor Rd which will show even more of the Library.I stood further on than this and still the Library is in shot.

This 1964 shot is looking the other way towards Moor Road, the Police station and library are at the end of the row of buildings with the clock. All those buildings apart from the library where demolished sometime between 1968 and 1981. This is where the waste land banking should be if it is the same location.

Finally got down to take the pics. I stood on the Corner where the Junction pub is and used zoom to bring everything closer, the pic has not been cropped and as you see, once zoomed in the old library goes out of view. I'm sure this pic shows the exact location of the camerman in the original screenshot. I dont know how to post pics like Phill does showing on screen, I only get the little red x thingy. Perhaps Phill would be good enough to post both pics so we can see them both at the same time for comparison.
