Phil trust Me its Dewsbury Rd. the camera was placed I guess at the corner of Dobson Place and and Burton avenue which I can find on google maps but am too thick to copy. there now stands a company called CSD SINAGE but in My time as a Cockburnian stood a yard with trees ( hence what You see in the still) where the smokers club would congregate. The grass bank on the right I spent five years climbing over to and from work and the house behind the rear of the red single decker is where My late Parents spent the first six years of married life. Most of that film is shot around Hunslet and Middleton if there any other areas on it You are uncertain about please post them I should be able to recall My old stomping grounds after all this time.regards.Kango EDIT Billy I lived in Linden Place and and Hill street (POSH!) living as You did in the Greenmount Terrace did You know the Pod family?

One thing to point out is that the continuity of the driving scenes in particular is very poor, but given cine film and budget to be expected.

Could Blakey have been wrong about the destination blind. 20 would be Moortown Corner but no bus travelling in the direction of that Bus should have Dewsbury Road as a destination

Ces Pod, if I spelled it right, used to come down and join in, he was a great bloke, a little older than us but was on the books at Bradford if i recall. As for the buses on that part of Dewsbury Road, Metro would have had 2's and 3's Moortown Chained Bull, 12's and 18's Vicar Lane, 20 Moortown and 86 Bramley. Blakey will know best.

Are you young enough in mind to tell us what that big chimney was in the background Billy???????????? As far as I remember that chimney was up a yard at the side of Ringtons and the Plaza club, I dont know what type of industry though, there was a gateway that led, up a narrow, rough roadway where it opened up into a square, there were lock ups in that yard and a friend had one where he messed about about with scooters and bikes.Edited
