I used to go to the Dominion Cinema in Chapel Allerton with my grandmother, usually to see Walt Disney films at Easter. It is now a housing estate.I also remember going to the Capitol Cinema in Meanwood to see Dalek Invasion Earth in 1965. I think it closed not long after and became a bingo hall. It is probably demolished now. There was a ballroom attached.Out of interest, this may be common knowledge, but I just found there is a little-used forum at leodis. If you ignore the odd bit of spam, you might find things of passing interest. http://pub5.bravenet.com/forum/393078274

There's still one or two threads of interest though, even if it's as dead as a Norwegian Blue.

One post this year apart from the spam. I don't know who the creator was though. Has he really shuffled off this mortal coil, rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible?I think we should be told.
