I just happened to notice the aerial imagery on Google street view has been updated to 2011. If you zoom in the area around the City centre it's in a 3D type style as can be seen herehttp://g.co/maps/69a3fThe 3D imagery seems to extend out a mile or so in certain areas. It's crystal clear, and excellent quality, the imagery is dated 2011, and it looks to me it was taken around September time when the first Autumn leave colour change takes place. The actual street view hasn't been updated yet though.

Great images there. Funny how Google Earth hasn't updated yet but Google maps has. Looking at the roof work on Trinity building switched to Google Earth and its a cleared building site image dated 30/05/2009

I doubt if the street view will change, it must have taken them ages to drive round every street in the UK, and there's still some that haven't been done yet.

City of London Police with Assault RiflesPark Place street view, heading towards Quebec Street. That's why you can't get to the end it's censored and skips that part.

Well, it's easy enough to just approach from the other direction.I say. Men with rifles indeed! Edit: It won't let me copy the URL. But if you float the little yellow man down to Park Place facing Quebec Street there are blokes wearing berets and body armour with rifles, and a police car with 'City Police' on the front. Intriguing.

I posted about the armed police staring at the Google-car on another Google thread when Streetview first went live in Leeds.
