Speaking of Leeds on film - there was clip in the documentary about coaches on BBC 4 this evening of a Wallace Arnold coach leaving the Calls Coach station - with a train passing over the viaduct at the same time!

By chance I saw much of the repeat that was on early this morning (it was billed to start at 2:00 a.m. and I joined it from about 2:25). It was very interesting. Oh, a coincidence I asume, just after it ended there was a power cut for a couple or so minutes in the area in north Leeds that I live. Always an eerie event while it lasts when it is dark!

Any one notice that one of the people being interviewed was a chap called Chris Heaps? There was a coach company called Heaps Coaches in Tong Rd ,Armley/Wortley,next to the Lyric cinema.Their coaches were always immaculate. I wondere if he was a relative of the former owners of this company?

New movie out Tyrannosaur was filmed in Leeds, spring 2010, and Wakey.
