Stand pie city centre?

Right. I did what I said and went to Wilson's website to order my pie for this year. Except I couldn't because the minimum order is £30.00. Having looked at the website however, their pie is not quite what I meant by a stand pie - it's just a big pork pie. The ones I used to get from the Co-op [or should I say Cwarp] were flatter, more like a cartwheel shape. Around the same height as a small pork pie but flatter and much larger.Again, it has to be city centre.

Funny, we were in Crossgates last Sat and your pie dilema came rto mind for some reason!

There's a new pie shop opened on Butchers Row in the market. I had a stilton and pork pie, and very nice it was. They has all sorts of stuff, even quiche for vegetarians. Yes the do stand pies, about 2.5 inches high and 80inches across.

I could be wrong but i cant remember the ones you are talking about being on sale at that time i must say i like the tall ones best but thats just me.
