Looking at the track listing how brilliant a line up is that, not one duff track on the whole double album.

These tickets were highly sought after IIRC. Not given out to anyone. And where can you see any band for £1.25 nowadays, never mind a 2 hour Bowie gig.

The Bowie Rolarena gig was a replacement for the cancelled 2nd June one at the Leeds Uni (I know because I had queued overnight for those tickets). It was cancelled 6 hours before it was due to start due to "poor facilities & security reasons"

Nope. Zip55 says the cancelled gig was June 2nd, the Rollarena ticket says 29th June almost 4 weeks very nearly a month.

The UNI gig was cancelled on the 2nd - 6 hours before it was due to start. The Rolarena gig(s) were replacements. I say gigs because there was actually 2 on that day, a matinee and an evening gig.

He was a busy boy - bet he was glad of the night off. What do you think he did instead? Fish supper?http://www.bowiewonderworld.com/tours/t ... tm"Jun-2nd 1973Leeds University concert is cancelled six hours before it was due to start due to poor facilities which would have meant that Bowie would have to walk through the audience to the stage, a situation considered unacceptable for security reasons."

Heck. Skegging through that's brought back some memories. Not one of you mentioned the shocks you got from the wheels of the skates if you wore nylon. I stopped going in the end as it drove me mad. Good times!

I'm not doubting all this but I saw bands at the Uni in 72 and they never walked through the audience, the bands changing rooms were behind the stage and down some stairs.
