Walked past the Albion Inn on Armley Road earlier in the week, the pub has been shut for a while but it looks like the place was being gutted. A real shame that such a unique pub is being destroyed.

Sorry (but not surprised) to read that, Tilly. It was being managed by the niece of a former regular contributor on here. She'd also had a bad experience at another pub.

What I meant by not being surprised was because of the pub's location, not anything to do with the landlady.

Looks like good news for once - The Bridge at Kirkstall has been acquired by the new Kirkstall and will be turned into their 'brewery tap' Looking forward to that!

There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
