Places I should explore in these areas of Leeds?

If you find yourself on a 64/64A bus to Crossgates, stay on it and have ride out to Aberford. You could get off in Barwick for a mooch around and then get on the next one to Aberford and have a mooch around there too. There are two buses an hour during the day so you wouldn't be stuck for long and in any case, both villages have three pubs so you could always go for a pint! The bus ride between Barwick and Aberford is particularly nice and scenic.

Another beautiful panorama may be seen from the A 63, between Peckfield Bar roundabout and Garforth Ninelands Lane, if you pause around the Garden Centre and the retirement homes cluster.
