Interesting to note that amidst the wholesale slaughter of out-of-town pubs, the "Headingley Run" is holding up particularly well. Anyone noticed any more patterns emerging?

Well that IS a surprise porters even in the present state of things. I haven't been in The Bridge for many years but I pass it often and it always looks pretty prosperous. On an even sadder note, look how long the George round the corner in Commercial Road has been for sale - and "at a reduced price" for years too !!
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Glad to hear about the Tut & Shive. I saw the works up around it so hopefully someone's done the renovation it needs instead of reopening it with the same disinterested teenage staff and grubby decor. Will have to go and see.Has anyone mentioned The Drop Inn in Guiseley? It appears to have the builders in. No update on their Facebook page since May.

The Drop is about to be dropped, to be replaced with flats

Yes drove past at midday and the builders are now in at the Drop - site now fenced off and it looks as though demolition's about to start for the new housing development mentioned.

The Princess, Rawdon , has closed I believe.
