I took my (10 year old) daughter to York on it ('Scots Guardsman') last ThursdayOne of the best things about it, compared to a 'preserved'/heritage line, is that you're running at 'amin-line' speeds (60-70MPH), which makes the experience far better!!

I know it sort of defeats the object, but I'd rather see them, hear them, smell them, than ride behind them.We saw Princess Elizabeth 6201 at Healy Mills in August and on September 9th. The second time she was really going full lick - brilliant. At a guess Oliver Cromwell was on the Scarborough Flyer from Crewe.
