Didn't see anyone throw their toys out of the pram. :But on a side note, how do you know that what you KNOW is correct? Much of our knowledge is gleaned from books isn't it? A lot is handed down. Who's to say what's correct? In the end all we can do is produce evidence and if it conflicts then you make your own judgement.

I think that has the motto on it somewhere Bradford's motto is indeed one of the Latin mottoes written around the walls of the Victoria Hall, inside the Town Hall. I think it was a bit of a poke in the eye for them, as in 'Our Hall's bigger than your Hall'! Apparently, the desire to outdo Bradford & Liverpool Hall-wise was one of the main reasons the Corporation allowed Brodrick to go so over budget... £120k insteand of £40k.It was worth it!

All i'm saying Jancee is people make mistakes, if you have evidence to back up what you say then that's different, i'm not suggesting that either party be right or wrong i'm just pouring oil on troubled waters as it were!

Knew there was a town hall connection. Well, at least ours is bigger than theirs!! (Bradfords Town hall that is!!)In regard to the other point. No-one is infallable, we all make mistakes, but something like a coat of arms if properly investigated is a pretty sure fire thing. If they are both the same chances are they are the same coat of arms!!
