I thought I would mention the event to remind anyone that may have forgotten or did not know. The march by around 160 members of the Ark Royal crew will likely be the last ever following the decommissioning of the current Ark Royal. The crew will exercise their Freedom of the City of Leeds right to march in Leeds with fixed bayonets and colours flying. The march starts at 11:00 a.m. from near Millennium Square and will go on part of the Headrow and then the Victoria Quarter area and ends at the Town Hall around 11:30 a.m.

This is a photo I took just after the start of the march as it turned onto the Headrow. The Royal Navy photographer was certainly getting low down here!
