Don't know if it's being mentioned, but The Whinmoor (which is actually in Swarcliffe) has been boarded up for the festive season.Given the location and that the surrounding pubs are also shut / up for lease (John Smeaton / Squinting Cat and the Cock Beck) it looks unlikely it will re-open.

When you see old maps they often show many PH marked on them, sometimes with several closely nearby! 1872 Whites Directory Leeds.Just had a quick flick through this and counted approx 560 Inns and Taverns and 500 Beerhouses. I would love to go back in time and have a look round all these. 1908 Kellys Directory LeedsBeer Retailers approx 635Hotels 20Pubs 300.Think I have too much time on my hands

I think it must be at least 15 years back now but I'm unsure. Thanks. Not sure off the top of my head, but I bet it's nearer 20 years, if not longer.

I'd say mid to late 80s , long before pubs closing down was so commonplace.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.
