Felt it - didn't even wake the dog up! Had a smaller one about 5 years ago that was a small gypsum collapse a few hundred yards away, left a nice crack in the the bypass.Seems it was somewhere near Kirby Malzeard, the Drovers Inn at Dallowgill could have been on top of it.I'm expecting the recycled "Earthquake in Barnsley" jokes now.
I like work. I can watch it for hours.

Yes i'm sure we had a bit of a tremor, no doubt news sources will confirm in a bit if so. No chance therefore that the YEP will report it in tomorrow's edition! If it was an earthquake (which I suspect it was) then unless it was very local the strength I felt would imply it was a very large event somewhere. If it was it is also the first earthquake I've ever been aware of. Nothing in Tuesday's YEPWhat time do they actually print the YEP! From this evidence it must be before 9pm the "previous" evening - confirming that YEP stands for "Yesterday's Evening Post"

I remember the previous earthquake felt in Leeds in 2008 - that seemed much stronger as I recall.http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... 3818545.jp

Makes a case for dropping the hard copy version almost
