This is a photo showing another view of Templar House that I took on December 16 2010. The building has been left unused for a few years now but presumably there will be some action (either its demolition or restoration) as it seems the Eastgate/ Harewood Quarter project may get off the ground. The building with the boarded up windows on the right is part of the Lyons Works building that is on Templar Lane (the road between Templar House and Lyons Works).

Not wishing to possibly bore you all with yet another photo but I thought this one may amuse. It was taken on December 16 2010 just to the right of the white van on the right in the photo above, next to a corner of Templar House. It may have been a bit awkward to use what phone was ever there!

The lift is particularly interesting. The notice board with the Schools' Amateur Boxing Association notices is fascinating. You also got shots of the Lyons Works building on Templar Lane in addition to the inside and outside ones of Templar House. I trust you got in officially! . I often would like to look inside abandoned buildings but if locked/boarded up I would not dare to get in! I noticed though that the graffiti artists had got in! I bet the disused Lyons Works building is just as fascinating inside.

I think the best part of this building was the lift the work gone into the iron work don't make them like that any more.

Well in 1976 it was the dole office. I remember signing on there when I left school. A depressing experience as it was the "Labour Exchange."I resolved then at 18 to never be out of work.Is this building being demolished for the Eastgate retail park. Ugh..

I think I'm correct in saying that this was where you were enlisted for National Service - but I could be wrong.
Daft I call it - What's for tea Ma?
