Yes I used to go there. A bit before you though! It was Beckett Street County Primary when I went.I was a mixed infant, apparently. Still am probably. my dad went there in the 40s!

Asket Hill Primary School closed on 15th July 2005. I believe it opened in 1958.The school was demolished by the end of September 2005.The pupils transferred mainly to Grange Farm Primary and Beechwood Primary. The staff found new jobs across the city. New housing is scheduled for the site. I have pictures of the school which I'll try to locate and put on the thread.

Hello Stevief,Yes I remember all those teachers plus Mortimer, who defected to St Theresa's and Mr Noon all 6'6" of him and driving a mini..! mostly with his knees.Mr McCann (aka Ticker) died about 1996/7 I went to the service at the church in Crossgates. And yes he did have a stall at Otley. He told me that just to make things interesting sometimes he would pretend to be French all day, he did speak French very well. Wilcock always ended he sentences with 'Mmm Okay' long before Southpark.I was there from 1965 to 1969.

I can picture Mr Noon emerging from his car like a genii from a lamp.Did you ever go back and visit after you left?I could never bring myself to do it.Do you know any other former pupils?I worked with 3 old boys for a while but lost touch.
