Hi every one. On my route to work i travel past Chuch Street just off Kirkgate & have often wondered what the blue container thingys were in the arches. I have noticed recently that they have been taken apart one by one. Any one have any more info?

I think there was a bar in one of them at one time.

Not in relation to those Blue things, but the same area and viaduct.I came across these two shots taken 44 years apart while doing some unconnected research. I was wondering what it was they were hiding behind those advertisement hoardings for all those years?1936 shot.Quite surprising to see them still there in 1980.

I always liked to imagine they had something to do with Thunderbirds! Each Blue container contained some special emergency vehicle.I must stop day dreaming while at work!

I wonder if the big blue boxes are provided just to prevent fly-tipping?

I'm sure they are like shops pods. I've always wondered about plumbing and so forth but I'm certain I've seen them witht he doors open in the past.
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.
