It's a dam nuisance for getting about, but it sure looks pretty from the window when your in the warmth I'm quite surprised to see there was 4'' of the stuff by last night. The bit it dumps each night has built up quite stealthily instead of one fell swoop. This mornings lot is sure to cause some choas.

Nice pictures cnosni of the polar bears. I bet they will feel nicely at home in Leeds just now! Yes Phil it is a deep and pretty snow scene now where I am in north Leeds. We are as you say doomed, but don't panic as we will be well preseved for when this Ice Age finally ends in a few thousand years give or take a millenia or two.

We may yet be saved, as I can see the Sun!

"It's a dam nuisance for getting about, but it sure looks pretty from the window when your in the warmth Regular Smiley"Couldn't agree more.It hadn't really built up this end of Kirkstall, and it kept semi-thawing and refreezing, but this morning we got about 3 inches between it starting and 11am, looks like we've had as much again.

It just goes to show the difference between North & West Leeds then. We've had 4'' built up by last night. Just looking out the window now it's 6-7'' deep here. No buses, and cars are stranded lol

Alwoodley in Snow? . It actually states 'Alwoodley in Bloom'. Taken at 12:49 today at the junction of King Lane and The Avenue, Alwoodley. This was as I saw it. I did not remove any snow to make the picture and it was untrodden in front of the stone.

View of King Lane taken today at 12:45. The temporary traffic lights to the top of the slope were making things even worse for the traffic! The building on the left is the derilict Alwoodley Motors Garage.OK, I promise not to add anymore of the photos that I took today in the area. PS. The snow seems to have just stopped as I posted this!
