The building that this door is an entrance to belonged to Barr and Wallace Arnold Trust, the people who owned Wallace Arnold Tours, Wallace Arnold Sales and Service (WASS) on Hunslet Road, Leeds Autocars Sales and Service on Roseville Road to name a few. The building contained the data function for the company before laptops/PC's became a feature of office equipment. I remember as an office junior (my first job) back in 1979, going through this door with boxes of paperwork for data input, from the various Wallace Arnold offices in Leeds, returning 2-3 days later to collect the reams of printouts that were used for audits.

Thanks for that Loiner Paul. It is appreciated.

This is more towards Skinner Lane near where the Renault garage used to be and is more or less opposite the new Roscoe but a nit further up towards the north. If you find wht the building used to be then you'll no doubt find this out.....Trade directories maybe?     Yed you are right of course. This is the bit between Sheepscar Streets North and South isn't it which, together with the name Sheepscar on the front of the building contributes to the misslocation(Unrelated - has anyone ever noticed that Bramley has relocated to the Seacroft Outer Ring Road according to Google, maps, etc?). I noticed that a few years ago about Ring Road Bramley, and did report it to Google, but obviously nothing has been changed!
