I'm not sure they could do that, as it's attached to the building Kadas use as their kitchen and runs into our block.they have said they'll have to demolish the amusement place to the side of it as they are holding each other up but afaik the Hills building the other side is ok

Strange feeling that you try to ignore but, now it's been voiced - sadly suspect you might be right 'economics' no doubt will be too expensive to do so something else - or nothing scenario

there's a wopping great crack become visible down the adjoining side of the amusement arcade and the cloth hall as they've cleared away, not seen the Hills side as it's the wrong angle form where we've been watching

I'll try otherwise if you have a wander down the alleyway past Tribe you can see through the gate into the carpark. The back gate to Hills is blocked offI can't see anything from my window sadly as the angle is wrong, although it's very noisy lol we've been going to put a message on here all week to say get down there now if you canBear in mind there is still a demo order on the whole area until end of this year but the EH intervention has stopped it I think and my lease is till next year and others have been renewed

I love this skulls thread. It won't lay down & die will it?It can go to sleep for 2 or 3 months, then suddenly bounce back to life again. It would be great to crack this one. I'm sure more will come to light EVENTUALLY

In that it states:-"A stretch of a city centre road in Leeds has closed to allow bulldozers to move in on an historic listed building dating back to 1711. Kirkgate is closed for a week until tomorrow to allow partial demolition work on the 18th century First White Cloth Hall. The road closure will be in place to allow enough time for the building's frontage to be taken down. Then demolition and archaeological recording works will continue at the back of the building and the road can be re-opened...An archaeologist will be on hand to record anything uncovered by the work".I think the photos taken by Phill were taken just in time.     The local road news site sais the road closure ended 12 September and there is no continuing note today - is it open or has the YEP, well, done what they do so well BBC road report now says closed until 21 September.
