You make some good points on your blog, Tyke Bhoy....when that news broke about LUFC owing Yorks Radio money, I contacted Jeremy Paxman (I'm on good terms with him, after correspondence during the last board's smoke and mirrors) and asked if he smelled a rat. However, I think the BBC are scared of Bates, as I just got a standard "thank you for your email.." reply. Last time, I exchanged several emails personally with Paxman (an LUFC fan, BTW). He was preparing an investigation, when Bates took over and made it irrelevant.I and many other ex-pat LUFC fans each pay up £30 a year, for exclusive live internet radio commentary from Yorks Radio....the money is paid to LUFC...NOT Yorks Radio...

not really a blog its just a thread I started on the bbc leeds messageboard although your response even more convinces me of the smoke and mirrors. The only feasible ways Yorkshire Radio could have been a creditor of LUFC (old Bates regime) were (a) LUFC were very surprisingly paying (and had failed to pay recently) for a broadcast media to broadcast coverage of their games (unheard of in the modern era) or (b) unpaid advertising costs were due to YorkshireRadio. The latter is unlikely as Yorkshire radio's raison d'etre appearsto be to broadcast to LUFC fans who surely don't need LUFC to be advertised to them.Somebody asked me today at work why Leeds could not be bought by a dodgy Russian, my response being an Englishman of the same persuasion had beaten them to it

on a personal note i feel absoluteley gutted tonight..i guess we all saw this coming...all the stand offs by the parties involved..there is just no money..massive debtsi think its the end of top class football in this great city of leeds..we were hated for years during our successful times and many will be glad if the club folds..as for me i will always have happy memories of the good timesi hope someone somewhere is hanging his head in shame

Oh ye of little faith! Can't wait for the season to start, now it's all settled! We now have a relatively debt free United - and I'm pretty sure the FL will reduce the points deduction on appeal.I can see Bates selling pretty soon - he burned his fingers with this ...MARCHING ON TOGETHER!
