Cast iron shop front

In New York there's an area of Manhattan where the shop fronts aren't made of wood but are actually cast iron moldings. They're really quite elaborate. On New York Street in Leeds this shop also has a cast iron frontage, I'm not aware of any others in leeds. I'll try to post photos later but can't from a Mac. The castings were made in Batley. Leeds was massive for ironworkers so I'm not suprised they went that "extra mile" and did the odd shop front!Now in the alley on your pic you can see a shop at the market end far right.I can remember that selling Horsemeat? Can anyone else????.Not a thread hijack here. we all need to look for cast iron tributes to the golden age of Leeds foundries.....
