Marsdens was a very reputable motorcycle dealer and well repected in the area. I once had the unenviable task of driving an Ilkley Ledgard conductress's Victoria "Vicky" little blue scooter to Marsden's for a warranty repair - an ordeal I'd not care to repeat if there are any still around, which I doubt.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

This unusual symbol is on the side of a house in Whitkirk.Situated by the traffic lights on the Selby Road/Colton Road junction.I understand much of the area belonged to Temple Newsam but that doesn't explain the 'T.W.'
