May I be the first here to congratulate Leeds United on their promotion to the Championship.

Seconded!By 'eck they made hard work of it, but the final result is all that matters.

I turned the radio off and couldn't bear to listen. I turned the tv on at 5pm and Gabby said they had won 2-1 I was very happy,it was a nice surprise! Well done the lads!

Gabby looked quite pleased too. I know she's a Loiner, I wonder if she's a closet Leeds fan?Anyway good luck to them.

I'm not much of a soccer fan but I must confess that while I'm no lover of Man U - especially when sports commentators call them "United" I really hate Chelsea. Because they are the team of the "Luvvies" And because in the 1970 FA Cup Final "Chopper" Harris and David Webb were allowed to get away with virtually kicking Eddie Gray to death. But they never had to bear the "Dirty Chelsea" epithet - unlike Leeds presumably because they were the journo's favourites.

Trojan , now we are really going back in time. Couldn't get tickets to the FA final in 70. However I was at Wembley for the 68 League cup final ,beating the Gunners 1-0.team:Wales Gary Sprake (GK)England Paul ReaneyEngland Terry CooperScotland Billy Bremner (c)England Jack CharltonEngland Norman HunterEngland Jimmy GreenhoffScotland Peter LorimerEngland Paul MadeleyRepublic of Ireland Johnny GilesScotland Eddie Gray offSubstitutes:England Rod Belfitt onScorers:    * Terry Cooper (20 mins)Now that was a team.Getting back to the orginal thread well done again to the boys in white 2010. Already looking forward to the new season.PSChelsea, Man U and Arsenal all have the same ranking with me low very low, lower than a snakes belly is about the level.
