Best wishes to all "Loiners" taking part in what could be the hottest LM on record - in fact, best of luck to all competitors no matter where you come from.

Even better that that!!!, it's also the 'Three Peaks Fell-Race' today! The distance is 23 miles, but!!!, with over 5,200 feet of climbing!I compete in some fell-races*, but don't have the necessary race times/distances to even apply for an entry; which is limited to a 1,000 anyway (far more select/exclusive than that run in London!!!)http://www.threepeaksrace.org.uk/Just think, would you rather be up here?Or on the grubby, southerner packed, streets of London???*I entered the Ilkley Harriers 'Ilkley Moor Fell-Race' (a 'mere' 5 miles/1200 feet of climbing) in February - which took place on Sunday 21st, the day it unexpectedly snowed overnight - & enjoyed myself immenselySadly my 'guess-timated' time didn't happen (due to the 'footing' & not knowing where the course went next - didn't want to waste energy by tearing off)I finished 119th/215 @ 1.00:16 Mindst you it was a bit murky up there!!(I'm 5th in line, with the hi-viv woolly hat, & the yellow-sleeves)Seriously though, good luck to all of the local runners that are down there, be it to try & get a 'PB' (hardly likely on such a crowded streets), or simply to raise money for their selected good cause!!

Oh I don't know!!It was a great race! You should see some of the footage on 'YouYube' taken at the footbridge over Backstone Beckhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAmP8t2m-Og&feature=related(I appear sliding down the hill at 1:20, & step onto the bridge at 1:29)Afterwards, I 'treated' myself to a slap-up dinner at 'Dunnies' (Wharfe View Cafe) in Otley - as I so rightly deserved
