Where did these railway lines go?

I keep noticing a clearing from the train when going through here on a morning, but know nothing about it. http://snipurl.com/vmx10Click on aerial, and then Bird's Eye view.If you look at the line just after it crosses the bridge over the ring road at Low Wortley on its way out of Leeds, it branches off on the right hand side.Where did this line go? What was it for? Anyone know?

The Doggers, if I interprete your question accurately this was the remodeling of the LNWRs Farnleys Branch, (it was first constructed by Act of Parliament of 1862 from the south) by Act of 1885 to enter said branch from roughly the north east. The branch served the Farnley Ironworks, later Farnley Fireclay. As the Acts indicate this was a full-blown railway, not just a siding, and this gives some idea of its perceived importance.The triangle thus formed contained the LNWRs second shed in Leeds (the first was beside Whitehall Road, just past Dragon Bridge towards Leeds) and was named Farnley Junction, LMS and BR shed code 25G, later 55C.The "Forge", as the ironworks and later fireclay company were known locally was my boyhood playground, and you can bet at some juncture I will expound at length on the subject!Meanwhile the site on Secret Leeds "Railway in New Farnley will tell you more.
