Jim, if you started now you'd have a job catching up, over 51 000 individual posta on here - I generally have an idea if something has been talked about before, but as for remembering where..... There is a vast amount of individual knowledge stored on the site, amazing really.

It took hours. I wouldn't want to do it now!!!

Similar maps on line at old-maps. To buy, Alan Godfrey Series historic maps, either on line from the publisher, or at Waterstones for (last time I bought one) £2.25 each. They seemed a bit low on stocks last time I looked though, and they certainly didn't have copies of all that are in print.

I've got the Godfrey OS map #217.04 Upper Armley, if that's any use Cardi.Godfrey's send me their new catalogue when it comes out, with the latest releases. This is the list of Leeds maps (c.1908 ) in the 2010 catalogue:Otley, Guiseley, Yeadon, Calverley, Horsforth, Horsforth Woodside, Meanwood, Chapel Allerton, Roundhay Park,Farsley, Bramley N & Rodley, Kirkstall, Headingley, Harehills,Stanningley, Bramley, Armley, Leeds NW, Central Leeds, East Leeds, Cross Gates, Pudsey, Pudsey E, Wortley, Holbeck, South Leeds, Osmondthorpe, Beeston, Hunslet, and Morley. There are also five large scale maps (c.1847-1863) of Town Hall & Park Square, Headrow, Stations, Lower Briggate, and Pottery Field.Hope this is helpful.

Two more lost bridges of Armley, top right corner of this map:http://maps.nls.uk/view/102344956Tatersall's over the canal and Thompsons 'over' the railway.Curiously Redcote lane is shown going over the railway rather than under, a mistake?
