I always thought the band was called Prowler and the lead singer was called Andy Townsend, lived in Holbeck if memeory serves. We had the odd pint together at the Guilford, where I first saw the band upstairs ,early 80's.

You may be right about Andy I just used to call him Andy Prowler. Bob Dylan look a like with legs like two matchsticks.

The wine bar opposite the Town Hall was called Wigs. I can't remember the names of people who played there except The Prowlers, Hot Pot Bell Band. There was a Band who used to use various equipment as musical intruments including parts of a Vacuum cleaner. A Band whose classic was to play 'So Lonely' by the police. A couple of guys called I think Nick and Jeremy, one of which used to go beetroot red when singing.
